Foley Legacy Foundation is to advocate for and advance the safe return of Americans detained unjustly abroad. The foundation also works to build awareness of the importance of journalism in the protection of our democracies around the world and to strengthen ACOS (A Culture of Safety) Alliance, an international coalition of media, and freelancers promoting the safety and equity of conflict journalists and photographers.

The Knight Foundation is a non profit foundation which supports transformational ideas that promote quality journalism, advance media innovation, engage communities and foster the arts.

The National Press Club is one of the oldest and most prestigious press clubs in America. The  Washington DC based professional organization is also a business center for journalists and communications professionals.
